The Bluedge Blog - Business Insights
Posted by BluEdge Team, December 2007
Welcome to the first entry in the BlueEdge Blog; the new style of instantly updateable information-sharing that’s sweeping the internet right now. It’s a perfect forum for BlueEdge to offer up advice and insights that might help your business, or give you ideas about making your own marketing efforts more effective and more profitable.
For the first few entries in the blog, we’re going to concentrate on one of the key ways of building business, sales and revenue, using all the ‘tools’ already available to you; already at your disposal.
It’s Relationship Marketing; simply using what you have and who you know to consolidate, protect and enhance your business base.
It’s about looking after what’s already there and nurturing it for the future; treating your business relationships with the utmost esteem and holding them in the highest value to make sure that you maximise opportunities that, sometimes, can be staring right at you without you realising it.
WHY WE CREATED THIS BLOG
If that sounds like an obvious, common-sense approach to business (and it is) you’d be surprised how many companies in IT, software and services, pay little or no attention to the fundamentals of relationship marketing.
As we say on our website, it’s six times more expensive to sell something to a prospect than it is to sell that same thing to an existing customer.
This means that consciously and deliberately building, nurturing and developing relationships makes your marketing budget go further.
That’s the simple truth of it and that’s why we created this blog.
We hope it helps and if you ever want to take up any of the points we make then just contact us.
